Note: You will still need the PRELOAD script to be in place. See more here: Preload script
To ease the implementation through Google Tag Manager (GTM), Cookie Saver is available as a Tag Template so you can deploy Cookie Saver without having to write any code.
In GTM, go to your Tags and click New.
At the top of the screen, click the Discover more tag type in the Community Template Gallery.
Search for Cookie Saver and click the Cookie Saver Configuration Tag Template.
Click Add to workspace.
The Cookie Saver Tag Template requires a set of privileges in order to load the Cookie Saver library and monitor your website cookies. Click Add to continue.
The Cookie Saver Tag Template is now imported to your workspace. In the Tag overview under the Custom section, select the Cookie Saver Configuration Tag Template.
Name the Tag Template appropriately (Cookie Saver is a phenomenal name for this).
Add your endpoint (the subdomain that you entered when you created the setup in your Cookie Saver account). If you have multiple subdomains, it makes sense to use a lookup variable and reference that variable here. See more here: Multiple Domains
Also, Add any cookie that you would like Cookie Saver to extend.
For the Trigger, select All Pages.
Thats it.
When adding cookies, a few options appear. For more info, see: Adding Cookies
