Determining the proportion of Safari users to your website using Google Analytics is straight forward. Make sure that you are logged in and have selected the correct Account, Property and View.
It is recommended to view the numbers on a month-by-month basis.
Step 1
In Google Analytics, select Audience > Technology > Browser & OS. This will show a report of all browsers used by your website users, with metrics including Users, New Users, Sessions, etc.
Step 2
For the Cookie Saver service, it is the Users metrics that you will need to take note of, especially for Safari users.
To filter out all Safari users, simply type “safari” in the filter box just above the report table. This will group both desktop, tablet and mobile Safari users and give you a total view of you overall Safari users.
